Bonding 8x4 In NEO by the end of the month

I have been told by many supervisors northeast ohio is getting 8x4 by the end of July and 100 or 75 Mbps by the end of the year.

Well I hope that is true and I hope that means central Ohio would get the same treatment but I'm not holding my breath. I'm still stuck on 4x1. It needs to be 8x1 or 8x2 here to just handle the current load of customers.

Hopefully markets that aren't getting maxx all see these upgrades. Maybe standard goes to 20 mbps, turbo to 30, extreme to 75, and ultimate to 100. That wouldn't take huge infrastructure upgrades and would be a significant improvement.

The WI market where I'm at is going to Charter... with a 'Slow' tier of 60 Megs..

I also have 4 downsteam, by 4 upstream channel bonding as well..»Re: [Internet] Arris SB6183 modem on the way!

It may also be that the filter is filtering the rest of the downstream channels. [I don't have cable tv - only internet.]

AMDUSER, interesting, TWC in Fremont, Nebraska has 4x4 as well, and certain hubs of Lincoln Nebraska have 6x4 (upgrade to Arris from Cisco), while others were still only 4x1 (Cisco) the last time I checked. We've had 4 bonded upstream since Feburary and have been Arris since October 2012, when Docsis 3 was first enabled. TWC has to move some channels off QAMS for 6 bonded downstream and for 8 too I'm sure. That's why we are still only 4x4 though. They need to axe more darn analog channels.

Overnight in Mentor (44060) SB6141 modem now shows 8x1.....but shouldn't that be 8x4.

Perhaps I need to reboot modem / router.

hmm what are the frequencies?

oh the only changes I have noticed in the Dallas area is TWC moved these off of SDV:
Fox News HD
LMN HD
We TV HD
CNBC HD
MSNBC HD
Spike HD
TruTV HD
TBS HD
Comedy Central HD
TLC HD
National Geographic HD
ABC Family HD

these are on:
447MHz
459MHz
483MHz
519MHz

and the SD versions of these channels are now SDV and it is preparation for the NCL to be deployed on an unknown date as it was supposed to happen on August 4th.

I really couldn't care less about the 100 Mbps tier until they bump up the upload speed on it.

What's the point of bonding 4 upstream channels and keeping the upload speed at 5?

Would love to see the upstream jump to 10 from 5, but don't think that's happening.

So even though my 6121 will only do what 4x4 or is it 4x2, whatever, it's irrelevant to my question anyway.

Does this mean I should expect overall better stability? Will it balance the load out over the area better so everyone sees better stability?
