Re: [Interleave/Fastpath] Need to switch between Interleave and FastPath? Part 2

Transceiver Revision A2pB020b3.d20h
Vendor ID Code 4D54
Line Mode ADSL_G.dmt
Data Path INTERLEAVED
DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 3360 864
Margin (dB) 21.8 12.0
Line Attenuation (dB) 37.0 22.0
Transmit Power (dBm) 6.1 11.9

Any hope for fastpath? Verizon basically told me to go scratch my ass on the phone when I asked for fios.

Apparently I'm going to be stuck with just copper wires forever since they laid down fiber optic lines all around my road, but not on my road, stopped, and then left forever. Great.

That line is fine. Ask for a higher speed too. 5-7Mbps should be no problem with that line and FastPath.

Best of luck to getting Fiber. I've been waiting for years.

How do I ask for a higher speed? Do I just flat out ask for it?
(this is honestly my first day on this website, and I only stumbled upon here because I found neighbors on my internet, one thing led to another, and now I'm sitting here wondering why my speeds are disgusting)

You can flat out ask for it. If you're at 3Mbps the increase in speed is free since it's already built into your plan. In many cases Verizon will have to validate that the equipment you are on is ready for more than 3Mbps, and then qualify you for the speed. It can take a while, but if you need some ammunition it wouldn't hurt to find out the kind of DSLAM you are on first.

Ask around in the Verizon Direct forum for all of this. »Verizon Direct
