Finding shared folders over the network

I just got a new MBP and am trying to access my NAS which runs a Samba server. In Windows I got the share mapped as a network drive. But it doesn't show up by default in the shared folders.

If I renew the DHCP lease I get a few more computers on the network that show up, but still not the Samba share I want.

Any way to force a shortcut to it?

MVM,

Connect to it directly. In Finder, select "Connect To Server" from the "Go" menu (command + K). Put in smb://ipaddress_of_nas

Login, mount the right drive. Then you can make an alias of the disk or drag it to your dock. Just click on the alias or the dock icon to reconnect next time.
