How to change back to ADSL+2

Yes, just randomly out of no where couple days ago i went from ADSL+2 to ADSL g.dmt? Why? Is there a way to go back? I heard adsl 2 is faster and gives better ping ? Do I call and to get it back or what? Please someone help!

Double check your modem if it has the option for MMode or "Auto" mode to make sure it hasn't been changed to use G.DMT only. Otherwise Frontier either took your ADSL2+ port away or they disabled the mode. Could be the modem too.

Did you see a drop in speed? When I changed from AT&T ADSL service to Sonic.net ADSL2+ service, I noticed no difference in sync between the SBC-issue SpeedStream 4100 ADSL modem and the Sonic.net-issue ZTE 831II ADSL2+ modem. At 9,156 feet from the CO, distance was the limiting factor. ADSL2+ was only an advantage because AT&T would not offer better than 3 Mbps service (required at least 6700 kbps max sync for 6 mbps service), while Sonic.net Fusion does not have tiers (actual max sync on ADSL2+ was ~5700 kbps).
