getting it installed sure takes a long time ..

3 weeks on still no install. First there was the MC guy who showed up to see if it was feasible (yes), then wait for "Miss Utility" to mark underground utilities (done), then contractor to bury line from cable box to house (done) ... now appointment for MC Tech to install modem and activate account (takes 1 week).

Could you buy you own modem and call them? I buy my own so I don't have the rental fee.

yeah, I did buy my own SB6141. I still have to wait for the MC tech to install it. I wouldn't think in this rural area that there is a backlog of install requests ... guess there is

I was thinking that of the line is connected from the pole already typically you could call them and tell them you have the modem and they can activate it.

the line has been trenched from the cable box by the road and run to the house but the interface junction has not been installed yet
