Ain'' Gonna Happen, Karl! The law that mandates wireline connectivity from border to border is a phone company masquerading as an Internet Service Provider. FCC knows it, Karl know it, Netflix knows it, and so does the US Congress.
This is not to say Congress cannot write a Bill that would created a office of ISP oversight to checkmate VoIP, Vonage, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Netflix, Skype, Suddenlink, Frontier, and rest of the greedy who do little for clients while they serve their bottom line.
Netflix has spent several years whining or defending bad acts like the Bulk Spam they sent when they first started. This was before MS opened the doors to spam and virus hell with it's brilliant idea to send Word.doc executable files in email. Who remembers Snow White? It was before JAN 1999, and well after Netflix. |
