[DSL] IPv6 Tomato Pitfall

I recently discovered that if you use a router running Tomato, you must set the "Connect Mode" under Basic>Network to "Keep Alive" in order to use IPv6. If it's set to "Connect on Demand" and you enable any flavour of IPv6, you won't even be able to negotiate a PPPoE connection at all. Not even IPv4. The error message in the log will say: "pppd: connect script is required for demand-dialling"

Hope this helps somebody else down the road.

Why would anybody want to NOT use "keep alive"? I believe it was originally designed for phone line dial-up. At that time it was logical. But now I think "keep alive" should be default.

It can be pretty transparent. PPPoE session usually starts in seconds.
