MacBook Air EFI Firmware Update 2.9 not installing properly

Click for full size
Each time I click to install, it reboots but indicates there's an update available.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

What version of EFI do you have on the machine or had if the update actually took?

Seems to be related to "FileVault" being enabled.

Anyway, mine already updated, guess I'll be getting another 'fixed' update.

I've dealt with both issues the update is supposed to fix.

I'm running Yosemite on my MBA (dev account), and both of the issues have been fixed so far. Additionally, the EFI update has never been offered to me via software update.

Yosemite does alter EFI to put a progress bar during boot, so I suspect the update was already included in an EFI update as part of one of the dev previews.

Quite a bit off-topic, but there's a few parts to the EFI boot process. I don't think the progress bar is in on-board firmware - that's a boot.efi or kernel level function (probably boot.efi, which is just a file on your HD). Granted it was on PPC, but the change from "happy Mac" to cold, gray apple logo was a NewWorldROM change (software on the hard drive), not a firmware level change.

You're probably right. I never saw the 2.9 update, but 2.9.1 popped up and installed fine on Yosemite.
