Re: Playsand Delivery in the GTA

How much sand are you after?

That will narrow your options dramatically...

Maybe Lowes or Home Depot might have it in super sacks for delivery. Also try some landscape companies.

Home depot has fine play sand in bags... depends how much you need this may be the easiest.

If they really didn't love you, it would have been jointing sand left over after doing the paving interlock stones. Then they would have nicknamed you "scratchy".

I am sure there was some of that in there too... Dad wouldnt throw anything away! to tell you the truth, i bet he used old filter sand for that too!

Home Depot, Rona. 50lb bags. Oddly, or not, enough it's produced by the same people who do concrete: QuickCrete. We just picked some up a few months ago for the same reason.

Not really that odd. Concrete has sand in it, they probably buy a lot of sand

For small quantities that will work. If the OP needs several yards that's a lot of 50 lb bags.

There's a company in St. Catharines that will deliver play sand by the truckload, but that won't help you in Toronto.

When I needed about a yard of stone dust/limestone screening, I went with Sid's Ponds on 9th Line at Britannia. They delivered it no problem. They may carry playground sand as well but you'd have to contact them for info.
