May have MBAM running - or not. I do use NoScript. I never concern myself with where I browse. For the "normal" user to not use this is just silly IMO. I am not normal. Call me, abnormal if you want. PS: It is most likely not working in SeaMonkey, or perhaps only partially at best? |

Hmmm...I was just reporting what the thread starter said in the Mozillazine thread. Plus, it makes sense that Nirsoft would be blocked because almost all AV block download from that site and you have to make exceptions. |

That the current de-facto is that most AV | AS apps do what this feature claims it will do for you - thus I've opted out. See screenie of MBAM blocking something that shouldn't be pinging my machine. |

you know........i haven't been paying close attention..............but you ARE right........and it pays 2check the options once in awhile

plus a couple others.....like the health report and phone home.......i think there are 4
go thru the options from stem to stern and de-tik anything that looks like a monkey wrench in the chain and giver a go...........
mine is faster........thatz me.........i dunno about anyone else......you will notice..... mele seems to do the same |

AMEN to the turning off the fancy Windows effects ! I chose 'Classic' settings whenever offered, and 'Performance' instead of 'Let Windows Decide'. Made both my XP and Vista a fair bit faster, and less cartoony looking. When I want cartoons ( and I DO, sometimes  ), I know where to find them. Also have disabled most apps which want to load anything at startup, such as update checkers for themselves, etc. |
