[IPv6] Unable to get DS IPv6 addr but I believe I should

I'm located in the Huntsville, AL market and I recently got a new Netgear WNDR3700v4 (I'm aware of the DHCPv6-PD issue) but I can only seem to ever get a 6to4 tunnel address. I'm fairly certain my WNDR3700v2 had native IPv6 but alas its dead and I can not check.

comcast6.net:
Your IP address is 50.168.xx.yy
Your CMTS is ready for IPv6. Please check this website for modem support.
- See more at: »www.comcast6.net/#sthash ··· e6t.dpuf

modem:
Model Name: SB6141
Vendor Name: Motorola
Firmware Name: SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.10-SCM00-NOSH
Boot Version: PSPU-Boot(25CLK) 1.0.12.18m3
Hardware Version: 7.0

router:
Netgear WNDR3700v4
Firmware Version V1.0.1.52
GUI Language Version V1.0.0.173
Advanced -> IPv6 -> Internet Connection Type = Auto Detect (I've tried Auto Config as well).
Advanced -> IPv6 -> Connection Type = 6to4 Tunnel
Advanced -> IPv6 -> Router's IPv6 Address on WAN = 2002:... (Not available if Auto Config above)

I believe I've set everything up correctly but I'm not 100% positive.

Does your WNDR3700v4 have a DHCP option for its IPv6 connection type? That is what I used in my (now retired) WNR1000v2-VC (as shown below).

If the above suggestion does not help, have you tried attaching an IPv6 capable PC directly to the SB6141, and then rebooting both the SB6141 and the PC? That should verify if your CMTS does indeed support native IPv6. Windows Vista or newer support DHCPv6, and I don't know of any recent *nix distribution that doesn't support DHCPv6 (DHCPv6 is what Comcast uses).

Thanks NetFixer. That was the fix. Guess I should have tried some of the other settings before posting.

Hopefully, your particular hardware and firmware versions will be stable. Many Netgear routers have problems with losing IPv6 connectivity when the DHCPv6 lease expires: »[IPv6] Netgear retail router IPv6 issues... (that is why my Netgear WNR1000v2-VC was retired from service)
