Unrecognized connections from E2500 in bridge mode.

I have a Linksys E2500 set up in bridge mode to act as a wireless AP. It's been working fine, but now I'm noticing several connections from its static IP address to the main router. This happens even when nothing is connected to the E2500. I've used other routers in bridge mode like this before but none of them try to connect to anything on their own. Any ideas what this could be?

DNS is UDP port 53 so whatever is at 192.168.1.156 seems to be doing DNS queries to your main router. Is that the E2500 at .156 by chance?

I'm thinking time sync lookups or similar (these routers have no battery clock and totally rely on getting time somewhere else).

Thanks for the reply.
Yes 156 is the e2500. The time sync makes sense but I cant find a way to disable it in the firmware (I haven't updated the firmware yet so I'll do that tomorrow and see if anything changes).
