Old remotes work fine, and I'd rather use them anyway.

Yes, the 7200 remotes work fine.

I even use my Cox urc-8820-CISCO remotes with Quantum TV. They work with both CISCO and Motorola boxes. For FiOS TV the 8820-CISCO remotes are set for CISCO and Quantum TV requires the Motorola setting. »[Quantum] Getting urc-8820-CISCO remote to work with Quantum TV .

miataman may be liking the old 4 button remotes that could control more devices than the new standard of the cheaper 2 button remote

I only control the TV and the box with mine, so I think the new remote is an improvement. That's because of the lighted "5" key.

Because the 4 buttons can be programmed for more devices.
