Aaaaaand my power supply dies...So... after a bad day at work, and a letter from code enforcement because of my car.... I find my power supply in my computer is dead....
It's a Thermaltake 750 bronze, and it's deader than a doornail. Pulled it, plugged it into a known good outlet, ground the power on line, and nothing..
So.. Now I need a new power supply...... |

I built the system on 8/25/12 (I only know this because I used a label maker to put the date and build sheet inside the cover.), so I bought the PSU the day before. It was a Thermaltake w/ a 5yr warranty, but I don't know where I stashed the receipt...
I ended up with a Corsair 750 from Best Buy.... And, of course, when it rains it DOES pour... On the way back from buying the supply, I stop at Five Guys to get a burger. Leaving the place, my Jeep decided that it didn't want to play anymore, and I ended up getting it towed home. Thank goodness for company provided AAA....
Anyway... my system is back up and running... so at least that's a good thing... |

Did you order it online? Likely be able to look up your receipt in your email. |

No, I bought it from CompUSA... but I bought it with a bunch of other stuff so I might have the receipt in the CPU box or Mobo box... |

See if they will do a RMA based on the serial number ... That could prove that the unit is not as old as the length of the warranty. |

1. If your CompUSA is still around, ask them for a duplicate receipt. 2. Contact mfg: » support.thermaltakeusa.c ··· ent.aspxor » support.thermaltakeusa.com/Read their warranty policy. Seems to be 3 years, not 5, but I was reading quickly, your product might be different. Good luck. |

1) Lock yourself in a room. 2) Have no social interaction at all for at least 2 days. 3) Don't come out until the bad people go away. |

I'm thinking maybe you shouldn't bother to buy your lottery ticket for a while... |

I think this said it best... what part don't you understand??? said by Tirael:1) Lock yourself in a room. 2) Have no social interaction at all for at least 2 days. 3) Don't come out until the bad people go away. (if you must... keep it simple, is it getting gas? Is it getting spark? but let's face it... well.... Tomorrow is the start of a new week, I wouldn't book that trip to vegas yet though.) |
