[X1-X2] Question about switching channels with the XI boxes

Isn't there a quick way to get from say channel 847 to 1000? Sometimes I want to watch a program up there but I don't remember the channel number so I type in 1000 expecting to get in the general area and all it does it take me somewhere else since we don't have channel 1000. My point though is, it does not even bring me close to the channels in the 1000 range, Frustrating. Am I missing something?

I don't know the name of the program. All I know is there are good channels in the high numbers, so I had wanted to see what was on.

I never knew we could type in program. Will need to remember. Page down is new to me too. THANK YOU

Enter the channel guide. From there you can enter numbers to jump to those channels or those near them if they do not exist.

Entering 1000 isn't going to lead anywhere, at least not in my area. It tops out at 999.

My numbers go to the 1631 level all HD.

1631 Sportsmen
1630 Outdoor
1512 FX
1511 Hub
1505 Sprout
1345 Ovation
1334 Oxygen
1325 GSN
and so on...

Where do you have those channels?

Yet another X1 downgrade. With iGuide, if you type a channel number that doesn't exist, it takes you to the next highest channel number that does exist.

For example I can just use the the SD number and let the box switch me to HD for
2/802 WCBS
4/804 WNBC
5/805 WNYW
6/906 WPVI
7/807 WABC
9/809 WWOR
10/810 WLNY (55)
11/811 WPIX
12/812 WHYY
13/813 WNET
29/905 WTXF

But I just type in the three digit HD number when the channels have a digit SD number too in the case of.

256/903 KYW
253/910 WCAU
255/907 WPHL (17)
254/911 WPSG (57)
