[General] Testing 4g signal without a 4g phoneI'm moving to a rural home that has no good Internet options, but does have an adequate 3g cell signal. I would like to explore using 4g for my home Internet but I currently do not have a 4g phone to test to see if there is a signal. Is there some other method for signal testing like an app that will work on a 3g phone or a device of some kind? |

you can't test 4G without a device that can receive it. There is no app that magically receives 4G. Check the coverage maps. |

The coverage maps are useless for most rural locations. I once had a wifi detecting device and I just wondered if there is something similar for cell signals. |

Nope, you can't detect a 4G signal without a device that can receive it |

I think that a deactivated phone can still detect signal. If that's the case, ask family/friends if you could borrow one of their old unused deactivated 4G phones to just see signal strength.
I think that Verizon has a refund policy too, 3 days no restocking fee and 30 days with 30% restocking fee I wanna say, but definitely clarify before buying. |
