Thanks for your notification, art22gg.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but are you referring to the google map workaround referred to here?: »
forum.palemoon.org/viewt ··· 3#p32637 After updating to 24.7.1, I no longer see the preference under
about:config for
general.useragent.override.google.com as per Moonchild's note:
"Pale Moon will remove the override for Google.com in the next version so this workaround shouldn't be needed anymore at that time." But then again, I didn't adjust about:config for this item previously as I don't use google maps that much.
I have a general question for the board. Art22gg's first item mentions hardware acceleration. For Pale Moon as well as Firefox previously, I have had hardware acceleration disabled for quite some time (options-->Advanced-->general tab-->*uncheck use hardware acceleration when available). Do any of you have hardware acceleration enabled under Pale Moon and do you find that it improves the use of the browser? I have had this disabled because I read that it might cause rendering in the browser to become slow. Thanks in advance for your input.
I will later edit my post when I have confirmed all my extensions are still working under this latest release (which they initially appear to be doing so).
EDIT: All my extensions (which include adblock plus (with "allow some intrusive ads" unchecked)), element hiding helper, and flashblock (which stops flash videos from automatically playing and has an option for HTML5 videos as well) are working. I have an extension called "Is it Compatible?", which the developer stopped supporting after FF10 but still is functional if you have add-on compatibility checking disabled. It stopped working in FF30 but is functional in Pale Moon. It simply takes the max_version information in each extension and clearly displays that information in the add-ons manager. Before you do a browser update, you can clearly see if an extension developer has kept up with the latest version of the browser so you don't have to worry about losing your extensions after doing your browser update. This would be something really useful for another extension developer to do an updated version of or for a browser developer to build into a UI.
All in all, I am very pleased with Pale Moon and I'm looking forward to the release of Pale Moon for Android.
