[WIN7] NeoTracePro quit working on Win7 Desktop but does on Win8.1.1 Laptop

This problem started about a week or two ago. This is an old but simple program from the Win95 days. The closest I can find to it is PingPlotter Pro and it costs $200. I turned off the malware programs and disabled real time program protection on MSE A/V but this did not help. The problem is only on my Win7-64 HP desktop. It works OK on the Win8.1.1 laptop. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from a very old downloads backup disk but this did not help.

I found the following two files in the Event Viewer.

Sorry, I don't know anything that would help. But I am curious to know what NeoTrace does that PingPloter Standard ($29.99) doesn't do. I never found the map a very useful tool; especially, as often happens, geolocation is way off. The ma was fun, but never told me anything I couldn't learn from a CLI trace.

OTOH, PingPlotter Standard does reveal useful information.

Hey guy, you did know something that helped. I did not find that via Google and looking it up I found a mention of the free version which does most of what I use NeoTracePro for. And I will look at the version you mentioned if I cannot find out how to fix NeoTracePro. Just as soon as The pro version of PingPlotter trial runs out.

I used PingPlotter (free) for the longest time, after giving up on NeoTrace. Yeah, I had it; and thought the map was cool. But I found PingPlotter (free) to be more useful. What finally decided me to pay the $29.99 for "Standard" was the ability to save the plot to a file which any other user of PingPlotter.

Here is an example:
www.google.com.pp2
724 bytes
(www.google.com.pp2.zip)

I don't recall if the free version can read it; but you would need Standard, at a minimum, to save a similar plot.

It is 39.95 now but sometimes these people will offer a discount after the trial period. I had a fellow from France send me an .jpg of a plot he had done. that is how I found out about the program years ago.

Thanks again.
