[Electrical] Breaker Conundrum

What is wrong with a circuit that has no load, no connectivity between wires (black to white, white to green, green to black), and a known good breaker? I just when to flip it back on after adding a can light, and it trips. There are six devices and two junctions on the circuit. There are currently no lightbulbs in the cans (was throwing the connectivity readings off).

-2 ceiling cans (new)
-2 outlets (1 new 1 old)
-Fluorescent light (old)
-Bathroom outlet and light (old)

Ideas?

There should be continuity between green and white.

Sounds like a short somewhere. I'd start isolating things.

What kind of can lights? Fluorescent or ? Could be a bad ballast if its a plug in style fluorescent.

Time to disconnect the new light.

My guess is that a neutral has some loose somewhere. There is a junction of 5 neutral wires in one of the boxes.

My wild guess is your breaker is an GFCI and you have a small leakage current tripping it.

are you sure all 5 were neutral? if you have a switch leg then connecting white to white could actually be connect hot directly to neutral.

All five were neutral, but one was sticking up too far. A combination of Wago nuts and lineman's pliers fixed it.
