Linux Mint USB install QuEsTiONs

I have been using Linux Mint 17 on my USB drive for quite some time now and have made it my home. I have updated all the packages, changed settings, etc. I am wondering when I install Mint 17 onto my HDD from the USB stick, will I get a normal, default install OR will my settings, updated packages and other changes install also?

I really need a reply ASAP. It's no problem to download the ISO again, but I'd rather not.

You'll get the default install.
However, prior install you can dump all installed packages and later re-install them with two commands as described here »askubuntu.com/questions/ ··· allation

And make sure you copy over your home dir to retain all configurations.

I have made some mistakes and done a lot of tinkering. I would like to be able to install default. I would also like to keep my USB installation to try out random things I wouldn't wanna do on my hard drive installation.
