Just exactly what is it?Neutrality is allegedly the state of being impartial. I fail to find it as there is no area of America that is owned by a telephone company that welcome or allows competition. Price fixing and back room deals is rampant. ADSL phone over copper is no more reliable than VoIP over cable. 10/1 in rural America is a pipe dream past the 'last mile'. I ain't gonna happen any faster than screaming quick downloads from Sat Tv. 1.5/.5 isn't much faster with "boost" than the fastest dialup connection about 3am.
As long as there is no competition allowed, and speed and quantity are throttled and tied to the corporate bottom line there will never be an internet that is fair, impartial, or affordable for all. |
