Mediacom → [IA] New construction & mediacom Ames

We have built a new home in Ames IA, but it seems that Mediacom ends service 427 feet away at a neighbors house in our subdivision. So far serviceability requests have gone unanswered and calling to mediacom directly gets me suggestion to go to local office, and local office directs me back to call mediacom national 1-800-479-2082

Any ideas on how to get cable installed to our home, or should I just go with directtv?

Our subdivision of sunset ridge in Ames is still expanding and where our street is, springbrook dr, will be near the front third of the development.

DirecTV is good, but how will you get internet? Has Centurylink serviced the area? If so, is it GPON?
