Time Warner Cable - Legacy → TWC sent me a snail mail letter about requesting a new cable modem.

Hello.

Today, I got a snail mail letter about requesting a new cable modem for the faster speeds. I currently am still using my very old Ambit/Ubee U10C018 cable modem (seems stable for the last few months so far) for standard plan package (15/1). It says the new modem would go to 50/5. If I were to get the new modem (thinking of getting my own this time), would I immediately get those speeds (don't know if my area has the speed increases or not from the upgrades) or is that in the future? »www.timewarnercable.com/ ··· wap.html and the letter say "Actual speeds may vary. Not available in all areas..."

You should read the threads. Your letter is about the MAXX upgrades as are the existing threads.

Thanks. I found one user in the same zip code as I am. He said it is not available until 8/22/2014. Maybe I will wait until then. My old one will still works after the speed increases, right?

The upgrade is free from what we are told. What is your Zip?

OK cool. I will just wait for TWC to finally roll out the speeds since they love to delay! Assuming it is on time, I might get my own cable modem during Labor Day week(end). :P
