I finished a full-blown marathon about a week ago (had a stupid head cold and was home a lot) and love the show. I listened to the first book before watching the series and now I'm on the second book - apparently I can't get enough
A&E is likely to decide/announce something by the end of September (next month) regarding season 4...
I rather liked it, not super great but a good cop/mystery show set in a small town in Wyoming. Fun/interesting characters. Be prepared for a huge cliffhanger at the end of the current run
I guess A&E needs more money so they'll buy more reality programming.
I finished it,and what an ending, no wonder fans are up in arms. The writers through everyone for a hell of a loop last night. While the "suppositions" pointed to a certain fella ,that had ordered Longmire's wife killed, the writers decided to throw something else into the mix. I figured it was a long 3 years and that underling plot finally came to an end.. but NOOOOO
The production crew is shopping for a new home, so even if A & E drops Longmire, it might get picked up by another network. Those who like it can only hope!!
The New York Times ran an article on the Netflix series. Without copying it in its' entirety, which you may read here, »www.nytimes.com/2015/09/ ··· ons.html, it went on to describe some of Longmire's appeal: Longmire is a series for viewers who feel theyve been marginalized by the golden age of TV. They may enjoy serial killers, zombies, medieval soap opera, international espionage, dark psychology, pop culture glossolalia and raunch as much as the next person, but what they really like are cops and robbers and a case to solve each week. It doesnt hurt that Longmire is also a western, making it the rare example, along with AMCs Hell on Wheels, of that once ubiquitous genre.
