I have a Netgear modem that's been working fine for years. Yesterday DSL and Internet went blank. Frontier said not an area outage. They can't come out till Friday. I've rebooted but nothing. Could I just need a new modem.
If you're able, test your modem where your phone line enters your house. If no dsl sync there, it could be a bad modem, or something else exterior to your home.
Thanks, me. I tried what you said. Looks like I might have a bad modem. Asking hubby to bring one home and see if that works before repair gets here Fri.
