[Praise] $11 item from Amazon seller shipped with 2-Day Priority Mail for freeAlright i have ordered a Duracell Coppertop Alkaline Lantern Battery that was sold for $11. And the item was shipped to me with a free $100 insured 2-Day Priority Mail. The question is what kind of seller would spend substantial amount of money to ship a cheap item?. No. I am not Amazon Prime member or have any kind of promo discounts at all. |

Or maybe for some reason he was trying to get rid of the stock quickly. But still it was nice of him to do that. |

Because he knew he was getting such a profit on the item. Those lantern batteries are $2 to $3 at Walmart. Two pack for $5! » www.walmart.com/ip/Rayov ··· 17163351 |

$2.50 for the battery, the box is probably a USPS priority mail box, so free. priority mail is about $5. plus some tape. so $8.50 for an $11 item is about $2.50 in profit, plus being able to ship fast usually means a positive rating/review which gets them listed more. thus allowing more sales. its a win win.
edit: forgot to mention, usually the only way to make $$ on places like that is to be able to do high volume low profit sales. your goal is to ship a lot, ship it quick, and cross your fingers you dont have to make a customer happy and take a loss, but if you do you do it because its not worth the negative review that can get you bumped to the bottom of the results page thus costing you sales. |

Correct. bulk shipping » pe.usps.com/businessmail ··· ress.htm would be cheaper for him than first class. |

No thanks to that. I rather use rechargeable batteries for high powdered electronics. |

I rather use rechargeable batteries for high powdered electronics. eneloop tech changed the game for me, when nimh could suddenly hold a full charge for months at a time i went out and bought a decent "slow" charger with a refresh feature (La Crosse Technology BC-700) and have been using the same set of batteries for 2 years now, where as before with a "quick charger" theyd last a year, at most before they wouldnt hold a charge. i all so noticed with the slow charge they hold that charge longer when used. i.e. a day + instead of 8 hours. oh i remember we used to use those batteries for an old work light dad used when i was a kid, hed recharge them in pairs using a car battery charger. im assuming of course those where made to be recharged and not just one time use. |

I use energizer batteries NiMH the High Quality ones MADE in japan and not the crappy china ones.
the ones I have have a manufacture date of 06/2011
and still work great after heavy use in a digital camera. I get 150 to 200 photos per charge (No flash used) |
