Re: [Billing] Price Increase NotificationI noticed the increase today as well on my bill. Going to research going back to Optimum. $84.95 with DVR. it says two years. However it doesn't say what TV plan it actually is. My Bill started out as $93 with Verizon and is up to $133 and I haven't changed anything. Screw that noise. |

There all the same ... you can switch if you like, but the savings isn't there when you add up the stb/dvr/and other rental fees and taxes. Do you really think CV/Comcast/ATT/FIOS don't know what everyone else is charging?
FIOS is late to the game in the "extra's" pricing .. there just following their competitors lead. |

Yep, I have 15/5 Fios internet only and I have received same notice and price increase. There was also $8 increase in January this year and I was told price would not change for at least one year, which was obviously a lie.
So, for 15/5 internet I am now paying $79.99. I've been with Verizon for 12 years, but these big price increases happening every year have become ridiculous.
I guess I'll have to switch to comcast.
Also, it seems they don't even offer internet only service anymore. Apparently, now you have to get internet/tv bundle. wth? |

Indeed. Just noticed I'm paying $64.99 for 15/15 FiOS that was $49.99 at the beginning of 2014. The reason for the price increase? Visit the Verizon site as a new customer and start the process of signing up for a plan at your address. You'll find that new customers are being offered prices at less than half of what you're paying. Verizon has to pay for that somehow, so I guess marketing figured it would be a good idea for existing customers to cover half of a new customer's bill. |

Sign up for Comcast as a new subscriber and in just 1 year your price goes up 50%. In 2 years it doubles so welcome to the wacky world of Broadband companies... |

I've had Verizon Internet for the last 18 years and have never experienced this before. They've really gone downhill as a company over the past few years. It's unfortunate, but I guess it's time to start playing the "cancel and re-sign up" game with Verizon. I'll just alternate between TWC and Verizon to keep the new customer pricing. I can't see how this is better business for them than a solid customer for twenty years. |

I was paying 142.99 for the extreme TV option and 50/50Mbps internet (No contract), As stated the price was set to change this month due to price increase. When looking at my upgrade options earlier this month, I chose to upgrade to the 75/75 bundle, which increased the price to 147.99 mo (It also brought a welcome router upgrade, as I had a Rev D actiontec before). It also stated (and I have a pdf of the confirmation) that would be the price for the first 12 months of the order, 152.99 on month 13 and 159.99 from month 14-24. The very first bill, I'm now being charged 154.99. When I contacted them about it, they stated the price increased $7. I've had bundles before with no contract and they always honored their 12 month price before (It's 24 month if you have a contract), has something changed? No where on the order page said the price was subject to change. I don't want to change because generally I like the service. This is the first issue I had with them since it was offered in my area about 8 years ago, I had Verizon DSL before that as well, so I guess I'll have to live with it. |
