[Mobile] Reduced bandwidth when connecting Wireless Access Point.

Can somebody please help me with my wireless network issue?

I have a fiber optic connection and a Dlink DVG-N5412S connected to it.
There is a Efternet cable from the Dlink to a Tp-link TL-WA901N.
The TL-WA901N is in operation mode Access point.

Both of them have wireless activated and normal browsing works good.
But... If i turn on the tplink (access point), i get around 50% of the bandwidth when measures in the speed from different test-sites.
I get around 8mbit/s with only the Dlink going... And when starting the Tp-link access point it drops down to 3mbit/s

There is no bandwidth limitation activated on any ports on the Dlink.
Any ideas?

a) how fast is your fiber line supposed to provide?

b) the device connecting wirelessly to either the DLINK or TPLINK gear, what make / model / connector type (ie. USB, PCIe, etc) is it using?

c) rather than using online speedtest sites, use IPERF or similar.

My initial 00000010bits

Just based on what you posted David, I am with LittleBill. Check your channels, sounds like they are overlapping.

Make sure you are using 1, 6, or 11. Each AP on a different channel.
