I'm hoping diskace or ebox danny can answer this.
I been checking my regular usage and never go over my cap.
Now, with this new meter it shows I went over my cap in July and August. So far the July bill did not show overusage. I'm hoping the August one that come in September doesn't too. The old meter said I was OK.
Can you explain what happened? |

Can you explain what happened? eboxdom confirmed earlier in the thread that the old meter, the one from the cable company, is used until August. The new meter is only used starting this month. I don't think you can really compare the two meters for August and July, there were still bugs in the new meter. |

Hello diskace,
I have a suggestion that might help selling off-peak a little more. You could display the amount that someone (who doesn't have off-peak yet) would save if he would use off-peak. This will be an incentive and will push someone to choose off-peak over juste increasing his limit. |

They would have to keep the hourly breakdown of usage for the entire month (at least). It's come up before that only the last 24h are shown because otherwise the database needs would be much more imposing, but I'm not sure if this came directly from EBox or was just speculation. |

In an earlier version we had a *simulate* button where you could see the savings with SOP on your current month. I decided to drop it because it would create confusion when someone order they would not get it retroactive thus causing frustration. |

I understand the 25% is marketing, but in the email it says (Économisez 25%) which is kind of misleading, unclear, vague... maybe put a * near it, and mention it is an average or something... perhaps add that you can backup to cloud without worries about caps anymore and how much that can save you etc etc
How about a simulate button ONLY for previous months, not current month? |

On a side note i have been reading about grandfathered customers (15 & 20 Mbits) not being able to order a change of limit and this coincide with the launch of SOP. We decide to allow usage changes for this month only (until September 30) after that we're removing the old plans from our provisioning system. We will not allow speed changes on grandfathered speed (ie 20 Mbits to 15 Mbits), only usage changes.
Thank you. |

Thank you. Just to confirm, this doesn't affect the ability to add SOP (or data blocks) right? |

Correct, grandfathered customers can always order data transfer packages or SOP (Super Off-Peak). |

So if I switched from 20 to 15 the day before it went offline, is my request going to be grandfathered even though it won't be activated until the end of September ? |

yes but you might be downgraded to 15 Mbits before the end of the month just to avoid any issues with the cabledistributor. |

Thank you.

Voila! |
