Depends what you want to do.
If you post your exact requirements, we'll be able to give you a much better recommendation of which providers would best suit your needs. |

said by micheal0017:What are the best options for VOIP service in Canada and America ? Where are you calling (what countries)? Estimated inbound monthly minutes? Estimated outbound monthly minutes? Would you prefer inbound plan with "X" number of minutes, or PAYG? And the same question for outbound plan. Residential? Business? Do you need features such as call forwarding, call blocking, IVR, etc, or not? Do you want a WiFi app (or cellular data app) for your cellphone on the same account? Do you want to provide your own ATA or IP phone, or do you want the provider to supply and provision the equipment? Prefer to pay each month or single payment for 2 years? Is your priority price or reliability or customer service? ----- TL/DR: Some men prefer Ginger, others prefer Mary Ann, and still others prefer the Professor.... |

The best options are whichever providers do what you need them to do, well enough for you to be satisfied, and at a price point that is within your budget.. Whether any particular provider falls into the category depends on the values of what-you-need-them-to-do, well-enough-for-you-to-be-satisfied, and your-budget. Once you plug in those variables, solving for the-best-options becomes possible. |

I have never used this company but there are many brands under Betamax/Dellmont (» www.voipkredi.com/page.p ··· ge=rates). Some of them are better for certain countries that you may call more often. I have been using Vestalink for half a year now (» www.vestalink.com/). They work fine at low price. I know some people don't like it for various reasons. Maybe they are right one way or the other. However, since it works well for me, I would include it for completeness. |

Also for completeness, add in CheapVoipInc.com , a spin-off of Future-Nine with a European server. I have no problem with U.S.A. DIDs hosted there, or calling most of the continental US. Like Future-Nine, it provides multiple user-specified DID destination(s) in user-specified priority. Allows user-set CID to meet the needs of those with PBX systems. One shortcoming is the current lack of backup servers, which I understand is to be remedied shortly. With that said , it has been surprisingly reliable for me.
Then, for _my_ super reliability, quality champ of all, add below-the-radar TelaSip.com residential service. Telasip is primarily a business-oriented provider, but supports residential use and very flexible for those of us with hobby PBX systems. |

Were the 20+ companies recommended above not enough? Me thinks all you were interested in was an opportunity to post a link complete with anchor text. Are you doing SEO work for Primus? |

That's amusing. Some spammer from Primus just did a drive-by in another forum, and resurrected a thread from 2012: » www.digitalhome.ca/forum ··· t=155493 |

Our OP here is also a shiny new DSLR account. But what would he even hope to gain by promoting a provider which charges soooooo much more than just about any other VoIPP ? Also, does Primus even have a presence in rate centres smaller than Ottawa ? Wouldn't be much use if they could not offer a local number and/or port in one which a potential subscriber might have. And looks like I was right about THAT : » primus.ca/business/phone ··· lity.php |

I guess Coalmont is out. Callcentric works here though. BTW, when did Primus switch to selling telephone service? |

I provisioned my very first paying biz client (2005) with them- and I only had to call Gene twice I moved away from Telasip ~2007 when I thought IAX was the future, d'oh! |

I used Primus Talkbroadband for 10+ years and I was very pleased with the service I received during that time period. Primus also provides direct live phone support. I changed from Primus because I wanted to keep more of my money. A number of my clients [law firms] use Primus VoIP for Business and are very pleased with their service. If you're going to offer business class service PHONE support is mandatory for the rare instances that VoIP issues need to be solved especially if you're a law firm. |

said by OzarkEdge:Their About Us link doesn't work! Oh well, don't hold that against Nitzan... his websites have always been a distant second to his services! CheapVoipInc just _works_ well, and provides the user features like the ability to set SIP and/or IP AUTH for destinations. Really very nice _functions_ from the associated A2BCustomer support pages. Sort of like me... looks aren't everything. It's what's eneath the skin that counts! |

Just to add one more to OE's great list of providers. Axvoice:» www.axvoice.com/Don't know a lot about them, but they have a large list of available DID's from which to choose. Plenty to choose from on OE's list though....... |
|
|
First month charge » www.axvoice.com/why-us.html : $172.88!!! Ouch!!! Sorry, they don't make the list. OE |
|
|
I'm pretty sure they have monthly plans to choose from to avoid those high up front costs. » www.axvoice.com/plans/re ··· ada.html |

Never mind the price just yet.
Who IS AxVoice ?
I don't see on their site where they are based - no 'contact us' page ?
Also, for Ontario, Canada, very little coverage !
Ottawa but not Toronto, and no small cities at all. |
