exede and forward ports

Hello, wondering if it is possible on excede to forward ports for a dvr? No luck on gen4 Hughes net so I thought I might see if exede could do it? Don't really need a static as dyndns.org can do this for me but just needed to forward the 4 ports for dvr service to get outside. Thanks

I forward ports for security cameras, so I don't think your DVR would be any different. Are you trying to view your recordings via port forwarding? That will burn through your DAP pretty quick.

No just view on mobile devices from time to time. So you are able to port forward that's great. Does exede have about the same speed as the gen4 gear from hughesnet?

I'm on Exede-12 in FL and the speeds are great, typically around 18 for the beam I'm on. I'm not sure if you would be on the same beam though.

If the "Freedom" plan is offered for your zip then the beam should be low on subscribers and unconjested.
