There is also a new version of Parallels (v10) for folks in that camp...I'm sure both companies needed to tweak for the upcoming new version of MacOS.

Do we know if V6 works in 10.10 at all?

Reason being, I just paid $50 back in March to get V6... kind of sucky six months later that I have to fork another $50 again to get the next version just to make it work under 10.10.

Surely you qualify for a free upgrade.

"optimization for Macs with Retina displays."

I might bite on this one.
I just bought a new MBP 15" Retina. It is my first Retina model and for some reason I just cant get my virtual machines to look normal. I went from a 17" MBP to a 15" Retina and it's hard to get used to (for me).

I'm running Yosemite and VMware 6. No problems whatsoever. Unsure if I see much of a need to upgrade.
