Wave Broadband → Motorola SB6183 - 16 downstream channels

Anyone want to be a guinea pig and buy this modem to see if you get all 16 downstream channels on Wave? Anyone know if its automatically going to work if you already get 8 downstream channels via the SB6141?

I'm not sure if It would work, maybe you should email Wave and have them escalate your question to a plant tech.

Good idea. I submitted an email just now. I'll share the response here.

They responded saying the maximum number of bonded channel's they support is 8. The modem will work on their network but at 8 channels.

I guess I'll stick with my SB6141 and upgrade once upgrade to 16 channels.

I'd wait a while for DOCSIS 3.1 modems to come out, then you'll be future-proofed for a long time.
