Is everyone getting full Maxx Speeds in Lower Manhattan?

I'm in zip code 10038. Hub A, which was supposed to have gotten maxx in early August. I just found out about the upgrade a week ago, and when I did a router reboot and ran a speed check found my speed increase a lot. I'm on standard internet and always got my full allotted 15/2. After resetting I got up to about 35/5 at best, and consistently lower at around 25-30/5.

Is it just network congestion or something? Anybody else here from Southern Manhattan? Do I have basis to call TWC and ask for more speed? I know its well advised to be UP TO.

There is an existing thread you'd be better off posting in...

Anyways, I'm on the same hub. They did the street-level upgrades earlier in Summer. They have not yet completed the back-end upgrades (I haven't received any speed increase yet). Hub A has an October date not August (according to the Maxx website).

You left out some important details: What plan are you actually subscribed to? Did you receive a letter? What modem do you have? Channel bonding?

I am in 10003, Hub D and do not have maxx speed yet. TWC could not give me an estimated date of upgrade. Seems like it should have happened by the end of August, but I'm trying to be patient.

Saw a lot of general threads and nothing specific. I was on standard internet 15/2, which should become 50/5.

Thanks, Mister Gump. I'm also in HUB D. Not sure why I typed A. I definitely have a speed boost, from 15/2 to usually around 30/5 up to 35/5. Just nowhere near the advertised 50/5.

You still haven't posted what modem you have and what channel bonding you see. As I recommended earlier, you are best off posting in the existing thread.

I finally got my speed boost today - Standard internet in zip 10003, Hub D in Manhattan. I had Earthlink, but had to switch to Time Warner. The guys at Earthlink swear that they will also be getting the Maxx upgrade, but I got tired of waiting. Although improvement, still only getting 28 down, 5 up. Hopefully in the next day or two I will get up to the standard 50/5.

Are you testing wired or wireless?
What router? What wireless protocol?

I'm in 10012 with standard internet. No idea what Hub but I started getting 100/10 a few weeks ago.

EDIT: I've had a lot of connectivity issues over the past few months. When I swapped the modem TWC gave me last Spring (Ubee) I was told it wasn't compatible with higher speeds. I currently have an Arris TG1672.
