Astound → [Speed] Horrible Speeds in Easton PA (forks township)

I've tried bypassing the router and connecting directly to the modem (docsis 3.0 - arris TM822) and i get the same result.. anywhere from 3-6 MB download; everything i try to stream just buffers due to the low inconsistent speeds im getting.

I would like to know if its a capacity problem in the area, or maybe some equipment that might be faulty??

This has been going on for over 2 weeks, please RCN help me out.. any further questions feel free to ask.

update: 9/10/2014

the same thing again.. once its after 6pm the speeds tank.

This seems to be an area wide problem. There is another post from someone in Nazareth. I am having the same problem in Lower Nazareth on 25/2. It is not quite as bad, my drop is from 25 to 14 down, but my three Tivos show a signal loss down to 85% causing pixelation on all channels. What's up RCN?

so far so good on my end.. RCN has done something because my speeds have been solid the past 3 nights. (51MB)
