[CATV] Charter spectrum, will they ever fix it?At least in our area, spectrum has been plagued with problems since it came out. So bad now I am contemplating switching providers as their customer service is also so poor. The people you can call, can't do anything. Then, they want to send you to a specialist, that may take up to 48 hours to respond. I live in Fort Worth, Texas. Wish they had never messed with the service, there was never an issue in the 14 years I have had Charter. But since the "Spectrum" rollout it has been nothing but. Fortunately, it has not affected my internet. But the CATV is awful. |

No issues in 14 years with Charter.. There's a statement I've never heard before. Seriously,.. sorry to hear this. For CATV... Do you know how to access your signals off your set top? Otherwise,.. have you changed your Set-top out for a diff. box.. or diff model? |

What exactly is the problem or problems you are having with Charter TV? How can you expect to get help when your post is so vague? |

After spectrum change, my internet went to crap. I had 2 techs to come out and check. They seen nothing wrong of course. Signals are good. Techs changed out the grounding block, filter, and modem. After the spectrum change, the supplied charter modem went bad. The upload speed couldn't reach 2mb. It was around 4.3. After the modem replacement, upload went to normal. Pings went higher and internet has intermittent issues. Anyone else? |

The all-digital switch and Spectrum brand launch didn't negatively affect my area at all. The only thing that happened on the internet side was 8 channel bonding. Charter used to offer 60/5 back in 2011. All they did was change the modem config/provisioning file. Essentially you are getting the Ultra tier that was availiable back in 2011 except with less upload speed. None of this is really new, they are just raising the base tier to the old top tier. |

There's a statement I've never heard before I know that can't be true as I've stated several times here before that, other than 3 weather related issues, I have never had an issue in the 17 years I've been with Charter now. Sure, I despise their business practices, but that has nothing to do with the actual service. The switch over to Spectrum here wasn't the prettiest either, but seems to have mellowed out now. |

15 year Charter user here. I can't say I've never had issues with them but their customer service is great, my internet speeds are, too, and I have no problems with TV. I have Charter at my home and, just a month ago, was able to switch my business over to Charter from ATT without issue and have had eliminated my internet issues.
I'll be switching over phone service, there, when my ATT contract runs out in December. |
