Online copyright infringement - public consultation

Australia:
It seems there was a discussion open for external participation for the policing of online copyright .
quote:
On 30 July 2014, the Attorney-General, Senator the Hon George Brandis, and the Minister for Communications Malcolm Turnbull MP released a discussion paper on online copyright infringement.

It closed on Sept 1st.

It will be interesting. We downunder have some of the strictest Classification laws.
So the population sources it elsewhere.
Now they want to clamp down on the Internet as a source of bringing into the country unclassified, copyright material.

So will it end up where the ISP has an alert for Torrent sites?
How do they know what your downloading.
Headers, files detection etc?
Here we go again.
Child Protection (and it's associated filter discussions) will be back again shortly to help aid this push.

I can see it now, big movie companies sponsor/fund 'Family Internet Filtering' for the good of the population.
