[iPad] Can't install iOS 8I just tried installing the update 2 times and it downloads ok, prepares ok, goes to the apple logo, no error messages. I get into the general setting tab and see it's still 7.1.2 when it's done. |

Cleared some space and am trying to install again. Round 3 |

How much free space do you have?
What device is it,...?
Are you sung iTunes or OTA on the device? |

1st gen iPad mini. I had about 8 gig free after cleaning some stuff up. Trying OTA update |

Installed this time. The only reason I thought of making more space is I got around to reading the comments in the iOS 8 thread. Why didn't Apple program the update to tell us if the update bombed because there was insufficient space |

I'm fairly certain most people have gotten exactly that message. Like this one: » www.cnet.com/how-to/how- ··· r-ios-8/ |

On the plus side, my iPad was suffering from lag and stutter. Not anymore after the upgrade. |

So iOS 8 works better on your mini (non-retina) than iOS 7? I've been debating upgrading mine because iOS 7 was a big sluggish on it (mostly Safari). |

Yeah. So far anyway. |
