[Connectivity] How to VPN thru Comcast Cisco DPC3939B business router

I'm helping a small business setup a LAN with a 2012r2 server. The internal LAN computers are using IP addresses of 10.1.10.xxx. One of the computers is a 2012r2 server configured for workgroup use and VPN services.

The Comcast router has a fixed IP of 69.181.191.xxx. I am trying to figure out how people can use there Windows 7 and 8 laptops to remotely connect to the 2012r2 server with IP address of 10.1.10.xxx.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,
Bruce

i believe you will need to use port forwarding on the Comcast gateway, and forward the necessary VPN ports to the Windows Server's 10.1.10.x address. As to whether the Comcast gateway is actually able to forward those ports (GRE protocol packets might be an issue, for example), i am not certain. rendrenner See Profile;s suggestion of obtaining a static IP would be another option; configure the Windows server with a second network interface & the Comcast static IP, and then let Windows listen on that interface for VPN requests.
