Anti-Telemarketer Sales Pitch

I was wondering idly why more voip providers do not have some kind of callerid setup including a recording that requires the caller to enter '1' for the phone to ring. Callcentric does this nicely, and Voip.Ms and Anveo also have something similar. But there are other providers, prominent here, who do not.

The reason I wonder is that when I go to a search engine to look up a number I found in the log that tried to get through but could not, I often find a load of complaints about how some irritating telemarketer has been calling them from that number.

Maybe it is just technically too difficult to add, but it sounds like it would be a good sales pitch for a voip provider to talk about how you can get rid of 99.9 percent of telemarketer calls if you use his service.

I love the telemarketer block at CallCentric. I especially like that you can set it to select a random digit between 1 and 9 which the caller has to press to ring through.
