OTA is installing now.
They must be confident that it's ok this time. Released right at 5pm CA time! If it's borked, you're screwed till tomorrow...LOL |

In less than 30 mins, did OTA updates on 4 devices. Two 5s iPhones and two new iPads. All run great and no issues.
The 5s phones are running much better than 8.0. After updating from 7.1.2 to 8.0, both phones exhibited a slight hesitation when changing apps, opening items, etc. That is gone now. I'll continue to monitor...but so far so good. |

Putting it on my iPad mini Retina and now-deactivated 5S. 6+ next if all goes well. |

How much room is needed? |
|
|
Depends on the device. Should be under a few hundred MB. Was 73MB on my iPhone 6. |

Early on, the battery life on my 6 Plus seems to have gotten worse. |

8.0.2 now on my iPhone 6 and iPad 2. So far, so good! |

iPhone 5 - 16.7 MB OTA, but that was with the faulty 8.0.1 already installed. Just installed 8.0.2 but so far things seem fine, and I have noticed that Safari is much smoother now than with either 8.0 or 8.0.1. Will get really gutsy and update the son and wife's iPhone 6's this evening |

iTunes doesn't perform delta updates, it always downloads the entire OS and restores it. The OTA updates only update the changed files. |

I updated a 32GB iPad Air WiFi + Cel from 8.0 to 8.0.2 via OTA.
It was approximately ~63MB IIRC and the download / install went very quickly.
No worries,....
