Terrible Upload Speeds During Peak Hours - Anyone Else?

Just switched to Start from Rogers.

Between 5pm and midnight (with the worst being Friday nights) I am getting horrific upload speeds. About 0.10Mbps. The odd thing is, ping and download speeds are just fine.

I noticed a few other people have had the exact same issue here. Was there a fix? I'm loathe to go through the support only to spend hours rebooting and running scripts to no avail.

When I had congestion issues with Rogers my ping would drop through the floor as well, which makes this whole scenario seem so odd.

Post your modem stats?
Post your speed tests? (start.speedtest.net)
Post your traceroutes to different location for troubleshooting (as well).

That doesn't look (so) bad

How about speed tests, etc? Start will ask you for this stuff (probably) anyway, so, it would be better if you can provide them as much info as you can while ur having the problem, anyway.

Where are you located?

Can't even post a speediest because it no longer works... Ping ~20ms, Download 29.54Mbps (I am on the 30/5 package) - upload, 0.10Mbps if I'm lucky, but now the speedtest site is failing on the upload, so 0Mbps.

That's very similar to what I was experiencing a few weeks ago. It happened off and on for maybe 10 days, and then it just went away. Haven't had a problem in a while. Odd.

Had the same thing happen to me, but on the downstream side.
Had a congested nod, so with the help of Rocca and Sam ( thank you guys), I switched to FTTN and getting full speeds again (50/10).

I had the same issue a few months ago. It was so weird because I could watch Netflix SuperHD movies with no problem, but couldn't send a 100kB email attachement without the connection timing out.
After a few weeks of back and forth between me, Start and red, the problem disappeared around the time my service was upgraded from 25/2 to 30/5.

Yes, the service you get is amazing. Rocca probably did that for 2 or 3 of my issues already in the past and this is probably the biggest reason why I don't get tempted with Rogers deals for their faster services (that and the fact it's Rogers...)
