[Networking] Re-purpose MI424WR as a switch with MoCa?

Hi All:

I currently have a Fios install with both coax and ethernet from the ONT. Ethernet goes to a Linksys router. Then a cat5 cable from Linksys LAN to Actiontec WAN. Actiontec coax then plugs into the house's coax network, which has a splitter in the attic that connects to the ONT's coax jack. This setup right now works except that devices that are connected to the MoCa network are on a different subnet than those that are connected to the Linksys router and thus the various devices connected to these two different subnets cannot talk to each other.

My question is how to do reconfigure the Actiontec to utilize the same subnet as the Linksys so that all the devices whether connected via MoCa or by the Linksys wired/wireless network can see each other? Is it as simple as connecting a LAN to LAN cable from the Linksys to the Actiontec, setting the Actiontec to a static IP on the Linksys' subnet, then disabling DHCP on the Actiontec? Using this setup, will the Actiontec still be able to properly create a MoCa network or does a cable need to be plugged in from the Linksys LAN to the Actiontec WAN for that to happen?

Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

Yep. That's the process. Everything should work the same as your current setup.

Referred to as the Primary LAN to LAN setup here:
