[Cable] More than one connection?

I was looking at modems page and noticed at the bottom of the first page that it allows 2 computers to be connected to the modem. So I guess I could put a switch between my modem and router and connect a second router to the switch?

Granted both connections will be sharing the same speed, I still could find an application where I'd need the second connection.

When I was with Rogers, the setup you stated worked for me and gave me a second IP address. I put my AirPort in bridge mode and I got two IP addresses. I never used it, just wanted to see if it'd work.

I haven't tried it with any TPIA though. Worth mentioning that for years on the Rogers account portal, they had us listed for multiple additional IP's with no charge. No idea why.
