High Pings in games recently

Switched over to Start beginning of September, been good so far. Lately been getting bad lag spikes in League of Legends, Diablo III, etc. Really annoying since lagging out for a second is kind of a big deal in these games. Ping's never been great in these games on this service, usually around 100ms in LoL and D3 but spiking a LOT to over 300, 500, etc.

Anyone have any insight into this? London area. rCable 60/10 service.

In addition to line stats, you should get the IP addresses of the game servers you're connecting to and run WinMTR sessions to each during the time day the high latency occurs.

WinMTR can be downloaded here: »winmtr.net/download-winmtr/

The trace shows us getting to above.net (riotgames provider) at an average of 27ms and then above.net having some issue inside their network between Chicago and Denver. And then again between Salt Lake and Los Angeles.

This is a pretty common thread with LoL in general, ie »forums.na.leagueoflegend ··· 44292631 - doesn't really matter who the ISP is when riotgames hasn't done anything for the East coast. They say it's something they are looking at, but it's been that way a while, ie »forums.na.leagueoflegend ··· 44035159

If you post the IP you tested I'll try a few different paths to see if we can route around their issue, but it's definitely well outside our network.

Here's another one to different servers....it's not an isolated issue with one game/server

That is the well know crappy blizzard connection with AT&T. That has been an on and off issue for years.

Till Blizzards stops peering with AT&T it will never go away. You see your ping time jumps from 26ms to 92ms as soon as you enter the AT&T network.
