FiOS and VOIP IssuesApparently there are issues with Verizon FiOS servicing VOIP networks (our specific issue is one-way calling). According to our VOIP provider, Nextiva, this seems to be limited to areas in NY, NJ, and FL. They state they have received a huge influx of calls regarding this since this morning.
Does anyone else have any similar issues with Verizon? Also, a question I pose to Verizon FiOS techs themselves, is there an ETA for when this will be fixed/is there a workaround to the issue? |

You might want to open a thread on the Verizon Direct forum. They are usually quite responsive there. |

I run multiple VoIP (SIP) clients, including a hard phone and several soft clients on a daily basis as my office is at home and I work for a major enterprise communications solution provider. I rarely have any issues on my end. I have FiOS 75/75 and the SBC I connect through is in Ohio. |

Sounds like Nextiva is passing the buck to Verizon. What kind of troubleshooting steps have you taken? It might be your own firewall. Less likely is some kind of peering/routing issue between Verizon and Nextiva. |

What path do you take using your VOIP software? A traceroute can be useful(but not 100% conclusive) in diagnosing this problem. What are the issues exactly? Keep us updated |

I would agree, however we have our phones split between two buildings - one serviced by Vzn and the other by Time Warner. Time warner phone works just fine. |
