September Netflix Ranking - BHN Now Up 5 Slots

Interesting that therr is such a huge jump. Wonder if this is due to Time Warners peering deal?

Likely since it is Time Warner's network. Also now that they know more people are paying attention they might be trying to keep good PR.

Luckily I have never had any netflix streaming issues with Brighthouse anyway. Seems I had more issues on FiOS.

Guess Brighthouse made the deal, not TWC.

Yep, looks like, according to the ranking jump, it wasn't a routing issue with Cogent at all. Good deal for BHN customers!

delivering an average 2.99 Mbps Netflix stream in September versus a 2.58 Mbps average stream in August

0.41mbps made that much of a difference...?

Got to remember that is an average, it takes alot of sustained bandwidth to sway that sort of number. Just a .1 Mbps swing on that chart can mean the difference between SD and HD, or HD and SuperHD for most connections. Also jumping over 5 companies overnight shows you something dramatic happened.

I am curious how many of you are currently using 4K content from Netflix?

While the frontpage article was originally written to imply that, it has now been corrected; BHN is simply benefiting from the old TWC deal with Netflix.

Just one question: Why did BHN go up 5 spots while TWC did not? I suppose there isn't much of a change from 2.87 to 2.99 Mbps, but BHN made a big change in position, while TWC saw no change at all from last month... Was there simply a delay in the change impacting BHN?

It's all about the network my friend....all about the network.

I notice that BHN is the fastest of the "Cable" internet providers. FiOS is FTTP and I was under the impression that Optimum was too? Well done!! Interesting relationship between providers and overall speed.
