the rub?

how does Comcast plan on doing this? sale, spin off or just up and leave the state dismantling its assets along the way? or basically LIE to the government and stop selling video for a time only to bring it back (out of apparent 'customer led demand')

because if they remove the VIDEO, most likely the phone and internet are going with it..
leaving a Telco monopoly in it's place. that'll sure get the attention of regulators. also, leaving a massive debt company in it's place (a- la Verizon's divestitures) won't be a very popular deal which will find more roadblocks than open doors.

Comcast seems to have a demented vision that companies involved in the ISP business can do ANYTHING with their last mile.. well, regulated as a Telco or not... this most certainly is NOT the case..
