[Connectivity] Nightly service outage weeknights between 1:00am and 6:00am

Why has my HSI been going out for two or three hours every weeknight between 1:00am and 6:00am for the past two weeks?

Is this related to the unexplained county wide outage on September 19th?

I also posted on my Facebook about it and several others in my area have noticed the same thing.

That's prime upgrade time. If you've not gotten the speed upgrade already, that might be the work for it.

Speed upgrades should not need any downtime as all they have to do is update the modem config file on the TFTP server and next time you reboot your modem you get the upgrade.

I am currently testing DOCSIS 3.1 products. So I do know a thing or two about this.

So, does the network fairy just wave her wand and all the plant equipment and everything between your end of the cable and the plant just magically upgrade itself?
