National Security is an instant red flag to me

The moment that term is mentioned in any discussion against something for privacy I know they are backing up the barge loads of bullshit. The term "National Security" is lovely used to convince people that they need to give up privacy in order to be safe...

Reality is its a crock of shit because most criminals are not smart enough to encrypt what they send. So even if their phone is cryptoed that text message with a selfie of them robbing the 7-11 that they sent to their gang buddies was not.

Yes, National Security needs to begin with smarter policies that are not strictly about making big corporations huge amounts of money.

They want to build a hornet-proof suit for everyone, when all they need to do is stop kicking the f'ing hornet's nest.
